I’m not saying other benefits aren’t there, it’s just that we know a lot of regulatory agencies are being severely cut so it’s gonna be less apparent soon enough. I’m in one of the higher tax brackets so aside from unemployment insurance, a lot of safety nets that require means testing are essentially inaccessible to me as well. Frankly it’s a miracle American society is still functioning even with so many tax cuts for corporations and the rich.
I pay roughly 30% of my gross income in th US. The only tangible benefit I get from it is the ability to drive on free roads on my way to work to earn more taxable income. I only wish my money didn’t go to subsidize the rich and make bombs to blow kids up on the other side of the planet.
Linux Mint runs pretty well on 8 gigs of ram on a T460.
Guess I’m not a real fan then.
I can do it for the video card but some lights on the mobo are for status so that’s not easily doable.
Lit PC setups are nice and all until you try to go to sleep with them in the same room. I miss plain old PC cases that hide their components so I can seed overnight.
Some races and classes are way too imbalanced and basically break the game.
You wouldn’t want to keep such old equipment connected to a network anyway. That’s only inviting trouble down the line.

They were worth it though. There was one across the street from my high school and I’d play dota, CS 1.6, and StarCraft on LAN with some buddies after school. Nothing beat that experience and it’s a shame we lost something this great.
Two months. Got brought in as a sales engineer with no one to train me. My days mostly consisted of spending 8 hours alone in my office reading ISO and ASTM standards for the test services the company offered. Got sent to Minnesota for further training for a week with no one to train me there either. Found a job right after and left my boss bewildered like he couldn’t believe it after I kept reminding him no one was actually teaching me how to do the job.
It has AC and only RWD.
Ubuntu sometime around 2010. It definitely wasn’t what I was looking for so I didn’t try another distro until 3 years ago. Linux Mint’s working well for me but I’m curious about Bazzite.

We need more anime in theaters here. I couldn’t get to see Gundam Gquuuuuux because the showtimes were too few and far from my area.
If Hollywood wants to succeed in today’s landscape of lowering box office revenues then it needs to invest in several original low budget movies that employ lesser-known actors. While not all will be winners I’m sure those that surpass expectations would more than make up for the cost of producing so many films. Maybe they should also have less meddling by producers who constantly demand expensive reshoots.
There’s a cyberpunk novel called Feed in which some teenager got a trendy Nike tattoo that would force him to say “Nike” in every sentence. I think that’s the next step in our deliberate effort to pay for the privilege of branding ourselves.
