And some rat taste buds!
Just ask me to select the images with traffic lights in them, of course. Being a human I will fail at least a couple times because I’m not sure if that image with the corner of a traffic light should be selected or not.
My SO is coming back from work trip tonight and their company pays a hotel as the flight lands quite late, so I decided to make use of the free hotel room and came to the big city to visit a museum and see friends. It has been a nice day and I’ve managed with stress factors really well this time (not trying to see all the friends at once or visit a dozen different places, wearing noise cancelling headphones all the time I’m outside or in a crowded place, also allowed myself to take the later train so I could sleep late and have a slow breakfast)! Yay!
Yes, for sure, and there being no repetion of selecting the numbers when calling either so accidentally remembering random numbers doesn’t really happen. (edit: actually now it came to me that when I worked in customer service and would write down customer’s numbers they’d sometimes get stuck in my head! So I’ll just change my point to remembering useless numbers and not useful ones :D ).
But I definitely have no need for the phonebook from before times in my head either!
Me too. I can also pinch quite hard with the toes! My SO has truly felt the power of toe!
I feel like going out and doing something exciting tonight but can’t seem to get any company. I guess I’ll just go cycling or ride the motorbike by myself or something.
Also: phone numbers from the past but not from present
Finally the supreme administrative court in Finland ruled that food couriers are employees and not independent contractors. In 2018 I was one of the people starting the campaign fighting for the rights of couriers. I’m really happy that our fight finally paid off! I haven’t worked as a courier for several years but the conditions definitely haven’t turned any better for them. At the same time the founder of the delivery company Wolt is the richest person in Finland…
I’m reading this and zoning out
Robert Holdstock’s Mythago Wood and Jack Kerouac’s Dharma Bums. I also have a couple other ones started that I’m not sure I’ll finish.
I’m really frustrated with the state of the health “care” system where I live. I requested sick leave last monday because of burnout, got one week and was instructed to go to a clinic today so they could continue it properly. Got one more week. The clinic is so overcrowded the waiting time for actual doctor’s appointments is several months and they won’t even tell me how long I’ll have to wait for the mental health team to contact me. Each “acute” visit costs money and I don’t see the point going there once a week to stress the system even more. I feel that I’m not taken seriously and I guess the masking plays a role. The visit definitely made me feel worse…
I went cycling in the woods again today, it’s a beautiful and warm spring day here!
Used, there were a few stalls that had new books but mainly it was antiquarian bookshops.
Hazel is living the life! I was at a book fair, found a couple good books.
I went cycling today and listened to a podcast about systemic thinking while at it. SO came back from a work trip and now we are watching clips from the Eurovision song contest semi-finals lol.
That’s great to hear!
Weekend at the summer cottage. I haven’t slept well since wednesday and my mood is kinda meh. I did a little bit of gardening today and the day was nice and sunny. Hopefully tonight I’ll get proper sleep.
